What are keratin fusion hair extensions?
Keratin Fusion Hair Extensions are known as the most "permanent" form of hair extension. This is because they require no in-salon maintenance from the time they are installed to the time you'd like them removed. This unique keratin bond is 100% Italian Keratin with no fillers or other foreign plastics. It's durable, and has a matte finish to perfectly blend into the guest's hair. The small keratin bond is heated up and gently wrapped around a little portion of natural hair, creating a blended and seamless finish.
What is the maintenance required with keratin fusion hair extensions?
K-Tip hair extensions require zero in-salon maintenance. Once your hair extension's are installed you are not due back into the salon until you decide you'd like them removed. You will be able to wear your keratin fusion hair extensions for 4-6 months, depending on your grow out.
Like any service, at home maintenance is a must. I send you home with a complimentary at-home care kit as well as a detailed maintenance card. This let's me know you're equipped with everything you need in order to keep your Keratin Fusion Hair Extensions looking and feeling their best each day.
How are keratin fusion hair extensions removed? And is it damaging?
Keratin Fusion extensions are totally non-damaging to your hair, as long as they are removed properly. When applied, a heat gun is used to gently heat the keratin bond. When removed, a glide removing spray is used in conjunction with a bond pliers. These pliers loosen up the bond, and then the glide remover assists with allowing the bond to effortlessly and gently slide off the hair strand.

Jena’s Story.
Install One.
At the beginning of her first hair extension install, I decided to break down each keratin fusion bond in half and thirds which is also known as micro keratin fusion bonds. I felt this was the best plan for her with the current state of her hair. Micro keratin bonds allow for a better blend and a lighter weight of hair extension on her natural hair. Her first set of keratin fusions blended beautifully and completely transformed her look.
Install Two.
Four months later we decided to remove her k-tip hair extensions and install a new set. When we removed her hair extensions we were in awe with how much her natural hair had grown. Not only was her natural hair growing but the strength of her hair had improved as well.
Install Three.
Another four months passed and we installed her third set of keratin fusion hair extensions. Once I removed her second set of hair
extensions we were yet again in complete awe at her natural hair growth.

Five months later, we installed her fourth set of k-tips. The strength of her natural hair has improved tremendously and is now able to hold all full keratin fusion bonds.

At the time of her fifth install, it had been one and a half years since we started her hair extension journey. Hair extensions are known as a luxury item. Does everyone need it? No. Do most people want it?

Kelly’s Story.
Install 1
At the beginning of Kelly’s journey, her hair was fragile, broken and very thin. I knew we first needed to tackle her hair color, and install a set of hair extensions that would be safe and not too heavy for her natural hair. I colored her hair to a more lived-in color, and installed 20” k-tip extensions using majority half and third bonds for a lighter weight.
Install 2-3
After 5 months of wearing her first set of keratin fusions, her next 2 installs after that really helped us get to her a good point with her natural hair. We were in awe of how much her natural hair had grown, and simply how healthy it became. For this next install we chose 20” k-tips with a mini blonding session. I still installed majority of half bonds, but we were able to include a few full bonds as well.
Install 5-8
At this point it has been about a year and a half of Kelly’s keratin fusion journey, and her hair has come so incredibly far. Her natural hair is continuing to grow, thickness has improved so much, and the health of her hair is night and day from when we first started. Now entering install 8, Kelly’s natural hair is able to hold majority of full bonds, with half and third bonds still around her face. She decided to change up her color for fall and install 18” k-tip extensions, and we were obsessed.
Install 9-14
2024 and we have been doing keratin fusion hair extensions on Kelly for three years now. It is truly one of my favorite journeys to be on with a guest. Watching Kelly’s natural hair completely transform in the most positive way with the help of k-tip extensions has been amazing. Kelly has now shifted into rocking a gorgeous short style with only 2-3 bundles of k-tip extensions, simply because her natural hair has become so thick that we don’t need as many extensions for her desired look.
Healthy hair transformations with hair extensions, don’t just happen easily. They take time, a lot of at home care, professional extension removals and proper extension installs. But if you’re committed, understanding and patient, good things can happen.
